I really just don’t want to have to wake up at any particular time on Monday. It’s not that I don’t enjoy my job. It is purely because I don’t want to wake up.

The funniest part of it all is that I really don’t like to sleep in too much or I feel as though I wasted my day. Whatever though.

We were supposed to go snowboarding again next weekend, but with the weather being hot and my funds already being spent, I think we’ll only be going once this year…that’s alright too. I don’t enjoy snowboarding as much as I did when I first started. Well, I really do like it, but it is just so expensive! And that kinda takes the fun out of it.

Also, I have had my camera for sale, but it looks to be sold. I am excited because now I can upgrade to my dream rig, the Nikon D700! I have been a devout and loyal Canon basically since I started getting into photography. But, Nikon has essentially the exact camera I have been looking for. Honestly, this camera is a tad more than I had wanted to spend, but I think this will last a while (that is how I am justifying it!).

Enough of random stuff, I just wanted to post something up. I will have some photos to come hopefully tomorrow! G’nite.

After doing all my tax stuff this evening, I think I am finally ready and prepared to upgrade my photography set-up.

So…that means, out with the old–in with the new.

Part of my “affording” the new stuff is selling my old. So if anyone knows of a person wanting to get into photography, send them here!

Canon EOS 30D (I bought it late 2006 from B & H Photo)
It came as a kit, so I have the kit 18-55 lens as well.
Along with most (if not all) of the stuff that came in the kit: battery charger, neck strap and most of the CDs too. Plus I have 2 batteries.

What I’ve Bought:
Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5 (Bought mid-2008) w/lens hood
Sigma 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye (Bought early 2008) w/pouch
Canon 50mm f/1.8 Mark II (Bought sometime 2008, I think) w/lens hood
Canon 430EX w/pouch and stand
eBay Battery Grip (I could not imagine shooting without this), holds 2 batteries or 8 AA batteries
3 ft. Wired Shutter Release w/lock
Two 1Gig Compact Flash cards (SanDisk Extreme IIs)

Extra information:
• The camera has been serviced by Canon USA once. The body had something internally happen and the rear dial stopped working. When they fixed this, they professionally cleaned and serviced the camera.
• The kit lens is in fair condition. After replacing it with the 17-70, I kinda just left it out and at some point played with tape as a type of filter. But it is still in working condition, though there is really no need for it.
• The other 3 lenses are in perfect condition. I am very delicate with my equipment as I want it to last indefinitely.
• The flash has been fired quite a bit, but it was mostly just a secondary flash to a Canon 580EX (I sold the 580EX a few months ago). So it should have TONS of life left.

Now, before anyone has a chance to ask, I don’t have the slightest clue as to how many shutter actuations. My guess would be around 8-10,000. Possibly more, but I doubt it.

So for price I would like to get $1,100 for the everything together. I think the only thing I would be willing to sell separately would be the Sigma 15mm Fisheye for about $400.

At this point, I am more than willing to hear offers. I just want to make sure it gets sold.
