good eats
The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy. Gift guides, restaurant guides, magazine deadlines, photos and everything else have really taken a toll on my free time (and energy). I did get to shoot some fun photos at one point in the chaos. The Plum Baker (aka ex-coworker Lindsay Beeson), asked me to shoot some of her goodies for her website.
After a botched attempt (due to me having to work extra for a deadline), we managed to get an hour or so in to get some photos.
I am really happy with how they came out. I realize now that I am going to have to use some external flash. I was trying to use all natural light, but I don’t know if I can get the desired effect and depth of field with it alone. Lindsay was able to talk Old City Java into letting us use their awesome space. We are gonna shoot/re-shoot some other items after the beginning of the year and I can’t wait!

I am so happy with your work, Corey! I’m looking forward to our January of weekend shoots.
And what about this? A final shoot for some baker portraits … at the Beeson house … you and Shauna and a home-cooked dinner to top it off? I think that sounds like a lotta fun …

I think that sounds pretty good. I’m always down for a good meal.
I’m glad you were happy with the photos. I know for a fact, we will get better images this time around. I can’t wait!!
