One day at work last week, I ate my lunch and had some time, so…I went walking around, camera in-hand. I used to go out really late at night or whenever I got bored and just shoot. I seemed to always land myself downtown, because there are so many textures, looks, people and just whatever else I might point at. But like I said, I almost always did it at night. So it was nice to get out during the daytime and be able to click a few shots off.
They have updated some of the artwork/structures downtown. I like most of them, especially this huge flower. I think I am attracted to the rust.

I took this shot with the work 70-200 lens. I need this lens! Look at the smooth bokeh and super shallow DOF

I am still undecided if I like this one or not…

This graffiti wall downtown is covered in really cool art. There is pen work, spray paint, wheat paste, crayons, markers, you name it. Knoxville need more walls like this. Graffiti shouldn’t have to be illegal, most larger cities have lots of walls specifically for graffiti

It’s hard to walk around downtown and not take at least one shot of the Tennessee Theatre. This one came out horrible, I almost cut off the tops of the buildings

I didn’t care for the rest of this sculpture, but the cowboy lounging was kinda cool.

two more…
