70-200 equals awesome

This weekend I borrowed the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR lens from work. Looking at this lens, you wouldn’t ever guess is was worth almost $2,000. It looks like someone threw it in a bucket of bolts and tossed it around for a while. I took some time to clean it up and try to get the cross-threaded filter off the front, but that guy is stuck!

Anyway, I finally took a few minutes to ride my bmx. This of course resulted in me taking a few pictures with the borrowed lens. This is the first time in a while that I have truly hurt after riding, I think between lifting boxes and moving stuff around for the past week, it didn’t take much real physical activity to completely wreck me. Ugh, even after some advil and a few hot showers I still hurt. But then again, the built-in shelves we built today only made it worse. More on that tomorrow…on to photos.

I really like this shot, Stephen looked seriously determined

Since moving into the new house, we haven’t had to keep Capone is his cage. He has found a new spot to chill all day. Lucky for him, because the day he tears up the couch, or anything for that matter, he will have to go back to the cage. Here he is doing what he does almost 90% of the day… (we clean this at least once a day)
Capone's window, snot smears!

So your camera takes better pictures than mine. I know that I was facing a different direction and the lighting is different and I was more zoomed in than you were, but I mean, there is a reason that my body goes for about $600 and the D700 goes for $2400. It is now evident what that reason is.

    Wow.

You managed to make me look good.

    I want that.

Honestly, it is probably just the focusing system. BUT…I do love my rig!

Hopefully, I will feel good enough to ride, but damn I’m sore…

I seriously love the wallride pic. I had no idea that I went that high on it…which is high for me.

Can I get a copy of it?
