Saturday, Dustin had a get-together bonfire at Wes’s dad’s house. This bonfire was different. The fire didn’t matter (hell, it was still like 90º outside!), but what did matter was the zipline!!

Dustin, Wes and our other friend David are all into climbing. So they had all the get-up and equipment to set up this 100 ft. long zipline across the field. As much as I wanted to climb up and have a go, I wasn’t feeling well after getting really dehydrated during the day’s heat.

So, I got the camera out and snapped some photos.

As you can see in some of the photos, those guys have carved some pretty bad-ass furniture out of a tree they had to cut down. The bench even has a cooler on the end!

This sparked my imagination.

I had to get a shot of everyone chillin’ around the fire while someone else flew down the line. Plus, anytime I can get out both flashes…I’m gonna!

It took a bit of work, getting the flash power right and the angle and position of the flashes.

It was a good time and I wish it was possible to do these every weekend.
