a night at the [skate]park

These photos are nothing new, I just haven’t had the chance to post them up. So here they are now.

I don’t take photos from the park too often, mostly cause I just wanna ride. But sometimes I get the urge, or in this case…John was doing toboggans into the bowl and I thought that the fisheye would be the perfect lens to use.

The way the photos turned out makes me want a full-frame camera or at least a wider fisheye. The only problem there is that most of the “wider” fisheyes are circular (see here) and I don’t really want that…I’ll admit that the outcome of these types of lenses can be neat, I just wouldn’t want all of my images looking like that. I guess one could crop them….

I would love a new camera, preferably the Canon 1D Mark II for its 8.5 frames per second. And coming in a close second is the Canon 5D for its full 35mm size sensor. Both of these cameras use a larger image sensor than my current 30D, so both are gonna produce more true-to-the-lens images, but the 1D is the top of the line for Canon. So if anyone has some extra cash, please keep me in mind.

I think I am gonna start tagging my posts with keywords. This makes it easier for search engines and my personal searching easier if I am looking for something…
