Lately, I have been slacking to say the least.

I have had to opportunity to take quite a few photos for work, but I haven’t actually taken a bmx photo with my own camera in a while.

Every now and again, Stephen will have me take a shot of him riding, but that is usually when he has his camera out.

Today was the day. It was nice out, I had ridden for a while and the weather was great!

As much as I love photography, sometimes its hard to pull my hands off the handlebars and wrap them around the camera.

I was definitely in the mood today. So after I had ridden for a few hours, I whipped her out!

At first, it felt like I hadn’t done it ever. I was totally centering everything (as you can see in the photos). I hate that. I had zero composition and bad angles. Now I realize that I am being a tad hard on myself, but I felt like crap. The pictures, in my opinion, came out ok at best. I had focusing problems. You name it, I had trouble with it today.

After this horrible day of photography, I plan on getting out the camera more often. I don’t like this feeling…I need practice!
